GIPAM at ISPOR Annual, Montreal 2025: What We Heard and Learned
We’re back from a busy and insightful week at the #ISPORAnnual 2025 in Montreal and though intense it was the perfect opportunity to start thinking about what’s next in health economics and outcomes research.
Several themes came up repeatedly, both in formal sessions and in informal discussions:
Real-world data and real-world evidence continue to gain traction, not just as supportive tools, but as central components in both regulatory approval and market access strategies.
AI and automation are no longer future-facing ideas—they’re being applied across the clinical development lifecycle, raising new possibilities and new questions.
Policy shifts, including updates on the Inflation Reduction Act and President Trump’s recent executive order on drug pricing, sparked significant debate—particularly around how these interventions could affect pharmaceutical innovation, investment decisions, and long-term access.
Health equity and patient access are being woven more deliberately into HEOR frameworks, reflecting broader shifts in how value is assessed.
These discussions underline just how complex the evidence landscape has become and how critical it is to take a joined-up, strategic approach. That’s exactly where we focus our efforts: helping teams plan smarter, generate the right evidence at the right time, and reduce friction along the way.
Our tools are designed to support that:
EVIGATOR: for planning and coordinating evidence generation across geographies and functions
ONCOCASE: for building bespoke real-world datasets, including structured patient-level data
ANCHOR: for streamlining the synthesis of published literature to support HTA and beyond
Plenty to reflect on and lots of conversations we’re looking forward to continuing.
